Two senators who made promises regarding the Affordable Care Act that turned out to be falsehoods refused to answer questions after being confronted by bestselling author and journalist Jason Mattera.

Mattera, author of the explosive new book CRAPITALISM: Liberals Who Make Millions Swiping Your Tax Dollars, caught up with Senators Mark Begich (D-AK) and Mark Pryor (D-AR), and asked them each why they claimed Obamacare would lower Americans’ health care premiums by thousands of dollars and would not disrupt any existing coverage.

Why do you think voters should trust you again, seeing that you canceled their health care plans and raised their premiums with your Obamacare vote?” asked Mattera of Senator Pryor.

There was no response from the senator.

Mattera, who publishes Daily Surge, continued to ask the Arkansas lawmaker about his false claims surrounding the Affordable Care Act, but the Democrat refused to speak, and, as the video above shows, eventually escaped into the confines of a Capitol Hill elevator.

Senator Begich … do you remember when you promised that Obamacare would lower premiums by thousands of dollars? What ever happened to that?” the author asked in a second exchange.

We’re still working on it,” answered the Alaska senator. “I have a ‘Copper Plan.’ You should look at it,” he insisted.

“You’re still working on it?” Mattera asked incredulously.

Premiums are going up … shouldn’t voters hold you accountable?” continued Mattera.

You should look at my stuff on it,” Begich responded, referring to a bill he’s sponsored dealing with the rising premiums that have resulted from his Obamacare vote.

The Affordable Care Act has resulted in millions of Americans losing their health care plans, and it has also turned out to be a crony giveaway to drug and insurance companies by forcing individuals to purchase expensive plans that they wouldn’t have otherwise needed or wanted. Mattera believes it’s one of the most blatant illustrations of a double standard at play in Washington, D.C. He wrote CRAPITALISM, he has explained, in order to expose the Left’s phony lies and hypocrisy of claiming to stand up for the little guy, but trampling on them every chance they get.

“For people like Begich and Pryor, they didn’t care about the negative impact Obamacare would have on the American people,” said Mattera. “They were going to ensure their cronies profited handsomely, even if the law has inflicted absolute misery on the rest of us.”
